The assignment for week was was to find an image that could be used in a classroom situation to provoke a discussion of lead to a class contemplation.
I couldn't decide on just one image. I found several images that can
be used in my class for several assignments. The images (Mermaid and
Spider) are great when I am teaching the students how to use the lasso,
quick selection and magic wand tools.
I do a project in my class entitled "Put yourself in the picture"
that I used as my final project for the Adobe Digital Creativity Class.
The assignment
is for students to tell a story and “put themselves in the picture. They
will go on the Internet to find a creative and interesting picture to use as a
background for their story. They will
import a picture or pictures of themselves, friends or family members that were
saved on a flash drive. They will crop
and erase any unnecessary part of the picture.
They will transform the picture to make it fit properly. The images Elephant and Frog, are good examples of backgrounds for this project.
Finally, we did a project in Digital Creativity class called Big and
small. The image I titled "Big and Small" is a great representation of what the project should consist of. I intend to use this project in my
class.
