Video In and Beyond the Classroom

Following Photoshop and Flash, we were introduced to Premiere Pro.  The focus was on using video in the classroom, how to make it and how to use it.  That week’s “Creative Challenge” assignment was to create a short video sequence or trailer promoting our favorite book from the entire world of literature. We had to create a sequence that creatively highlighted the key characteristics of the book in video format.

For this assignment, I selected The Grapes of Wrath.  I used images, a sound clip for the background music and an audio clip from the movie.  Although this was very time consuming since I was unfamiliar with the Premiere Pro workspace, again I had to rely on YouTube instructional videos to get through some parts of editing.  I am impressed with the finished project.
